The Meybohm Institute of Real Estate
Meybohm Realtors offers a wide range of Real Estate courses including Georgia and
South Carolina Pre-Licensing, Post-Licensing, and Continuing Education. Classroom
courses are offered for all your licensing requirements.
Online courses are also available for all licensing requirements, Pre-license Sales,
Pre-license Brokers, Post License Sales, and Continuing Education.
Georgia Salesperson License
If you have decided to pursue an exciting new real estate career, you must have a real estate license. To qualify for a Salesperson real estate license in Georgia, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be a resident of the State of Georgia, unless seeking a nonresident license.
- Pass a state real estate examination.
- Be a high school graduate or holder of a certification of equivalency
- Obtain a criminal history report from the GBI (Georgia Bureau of Investigation)
- Complete a 75 hour Salesperson Pre-license course, attending all the sessions
Broker Qualifications
To be eligible to become a broker in Georgia, you must:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Be a resident of the State of Georgia, unless seeking a nonresident license.
- Be a high school graduate or holder of a certification of equivalency
- Have served actively for 3 out of the last 5 years as a licensed salesperson
- Complete an approved 60-hour broker course
- Obtain a criminal history report from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI)
Sales Postlicense
The
Georgia Real Estate Commission requires that each Salesperson successfully complete a 25-hour Post-license course within one year of issuance of an original Salesperson license.
Continuing Education
Agents must complete 24 hours of CE every 4 years.
